What is Sunbridge for Warriors?

Sunbridge for Warriors Counseling Service is designed to supplement the counseling services that currently exist in the community and at the Veterans Affairs.

Sunbridge matches Veterans, Service Members and their families in need with volunteer mental health professionals from the community. These therapists from a variety of disciplines donate their time to the Sunbridge for Warriors Program in order to meet local counseling needs of anyone who has or is currently serving in the US Military and their families.

New clients are screened over the phone or in-person to determine the appropriateness of services. Our Sunbridge for Warriors Care Coordinator provides case management support and matches the client with one of the participating Sunbridge therapists specializing in that client's area of need or to the first available therapist in the program depending on the urgency of care needed.

Eligibility for Services

· Must live in Central Oklahoma
· Must not anticipate any court involvement: Counselors are not available for court testimony

Who Provides the Services?

Board certified therapists from a variety of disciplines have donated their time to Sunbridge in order to meet local counseling needs.
We are now partnering with the University of Oklahoma Counseling Psychology Clinic to provide counseling services in Central Oklahoma.
Dr. Lisa Frey and Dr. Denise Beesley are the directors of the OU Counseling Clinic and, along with other OU faculty members, provide supervision for Ph.D. students working in the clinic.

Service Fees

Fees are established at the time of the initial interview at the Sunbridge offices and are based on the family's or individual's ability to pay. No one is ever denied services base on the inability to pay.
